A Bright and Shining Star | A Labor of Love | Bojangles’ | In Case You Missed It

The first big holiday of this season is Thanksgiving, and we are thankful for YOU. Without you, all that we do would not be possible. By reading our articles and visiting our social media sites, you get a glimpse into the lives of those you help impact on a daily basis. We take this opportunity to say:

A Bright and Shining Star

Jercolbie Bradford loves to be the star, and at United Ability, he is one! Not only is he extremely talkative, but he has a contagious smile and welcoming attitude that makes him extremely approachable.

Did you know he started our Adult Choir, works at Gone For Good, and has made lasting impressions on all those he has come into contact with during his 24 years here?

A Labor of Love

Having earned 25 merit badges and spent 44 nights camping, Conner Hudson, a sophomore at Mountain Brook High School and a member of Boy Scout Troop 63, had met all the requirements to become an Eagle Scout, except for completing his Eagle Scout project.

His project was a labor of love dedicated to his uncle, Hunter Phillips who has been a part of the LINCPoint Adult Day Program for several years.

Help MIRACLES Happen This Season

Once again we are partnering with local Bojangles’ Restaurants to raise funds to provide HOPE for children and adults with disabilities.

From December 1st – 24th, visit one of the participating Bojangles’ locations listed here and support United Ability by making a donation with your food purchase.

In Case You Missed It!

We were thrilled that Miss Alabama, Jessica Procter spent some time touring our campus and learning more about what we do to help children and adults with disabilities live empowered lives. She met Bentley and sat in on her Speech Therapy session that focused on her augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) skills .

She also met with Dr. Edwards and Dr. Cohen at LINCPoint and learned more about the life spectrum of services we provide in our Adult Day Program and the employment services at United Ability Enterprises.
