United Ability Names Fran Frost as New Lead Occupational Therapist for Outpatient Clinic
United Ability’s Outpatient Clinic congratulates Fran Frost on her new role as Lead Occupational Therapist.
A Seasoned Leader in Pediatric Occupational Therapy
Fran Frost, OTR/L, is a registered and licensed occupational therapist with more than 30 years of experience serving children and families across a variety of pediatric settings. As part of United Ability’s Outpatient Clinic, Fran specializes in evaluating and treating children with complex feeding histories, oral motor and swallowing challenges, sensory processing differences, and developmental delays.
Specialized Expertise in Feeding and Developmental Care
Fran is especially passionate about helping children who struggle with feeding. She takes a whole-child approach, carefully considering how oral motor skills, sensory processing, positioning, nutrition, and overall development work together to support safe and successful mealtimes. She collaborates closely with physicians, nutritionists, therapists, teachers, and families to create individualized treatment plans that meet each child’s unique needs.
A Commitment to Mentorship and Clinical Excellence
Throughout her career, Fran has served in neonatal intensive care, acute care, school systems, private practice, and intensive feeding programs. In addition to her clinical work, she is deeply committed to mentoring and training the next generation of occupational therapists, supervising graduate students and supporting fellow clinicians in their professional growth.
Life Beyond the Clinic
Fran is married to Michael and is the proud mom of two adult sons. She loves traveling and planning trips, cheering on the Alabama Crimson Tide, spending time hanging out with friends, and working in her yard.
United Ability is excited to welcome Fran into this leadership role!
